Piedmont College 2017
Jessica received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Piedmont College. Following graduation, she completed a 2-month strength and conditioning internship at the University of North Florida, and 10-month athletic training internship at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She then went on to work in the sports medicine department at the University of Tampa where she also completed her Master’s of Science In Exercise and Nutrition.
Jessica’s passion to educate and help others in their health and fitness journey is what drove her to begin coaching. From being a college athlete, interning in various sports performance settings, working 4+ years as a Certified Athletic Trainer providing injury evaluation, rehab, and prevention, as well as time spent being both an athlete and a coach, Jessica believes her wide range of personal and professional experiences allows her to meet each client’s individual needs.
Jessica grew up playing sports and was introduced to weightlifting during her senior year of high school, which is where she found her passion for training. While she went on to play lacrosse at Piedmont University, her ultimate goal was to compete in bodybuilding once she completed her time in college athletics.
Jessica made her debut as a Figure competitor at the Dexter Jackson Classic in July 2021 where she placed 1st in True Novice and 2nd in Figure Open. She then competed in the Tampa Pro/Am a week later where she placed 4th in Figure Open.
Jessica plans to grow as both an athlete and a coach under the guidance of her coach Chris Barakat.
